Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Maintenance Request, Permit #94- <br />6810, Snail Lake Boat Ramp, Shoreview, April 18, 2007. <br />B-2 Financial Report <br />Maloney stated that the fund balance does not yet reflect a billing from <br />Ramsey/Washington County Watershed District in the amount of $2,600, and the bill <br />from the City for staff support. <br />DeZellar noted the invoices from Barr Engineering. Maloney explained that all Barr <br />expenses were previously authorized, and are consistent with the work plan for the study. <br />Eckman asked if the monitoring equipment has been re-installed on Lake Owasso. Mr. <br />Runke stated it will be re-installed next week. <br />Eckman moved to pay Barr Engineering invoices as specified. Root seconded. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />Mogg stated that he would appreciate Barr giving the Board any updates on the study <br />budget when invoices are submitted. Mr. Sobiech stated that the study is on schedule and <br />on budget at this time. <br />Mr. Runke added that a budget status report could be attached to the invoices that would <br />show different activities completed and the status of progress on the study. <br />It was the consensus of the Board to request a budget status report from Barr Engineering <br />when invoices are submitted. <br />D. Other Business <br />D-1 Green Community Awards Program <br />Maloney reported that the Environmental Quality Committee (EQC) of Shoreview is <br />sponsoring a Green Community Awards program. A $4,000 budget has been established <br />to operate the program. The EQC is receiving donations from Rice Creek Watershed <br />District and Ramsey County Conservation Board and the City of Shoreview Public <br />Works. He introduced Mr. Len Ferrington, member of the EQC, who was present to <br />speak to a similar request to the Board. <br />Mr. Ferrington stated that he also serves as a liaison to a citizen group that is part of the <br />Shoreview Green Community Committee, a group of citizens trying to work with local <br />members of City government to improve water quality, improve efficient use of resources <br />and address transportation issues.
