Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, September 7, 1999, Request for Review and <br />Comment of MN DNR Permit Application No. 2000-6023. <br />The Board requested that staff get additional information about Item #3 and report back to the <br />Board. <br />B-2 The Board reviewed correspondence sent by the GLWMO since the meeting of July 22, 1999. <br />There was no correspondence sent by the GLWMO since the July 22, 1999 meeting. <br />C. REPORTS <br />C-1 Water Management Planning -Review of Barr Work Plan <br />Staff presented the following three grant opportunities that could potentially aid in funding <br />portions of the 2nd Generation Plan: <br />Planning Grant - Minnnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources <br />1999 Local Water Resources Management Plan Grant -Metropolitan Council <br />Metro Environment Partnership -Metropolitan Council <br />The Board reviewed and discussed the remaining unapproved tasks of the Work Plan prepared by <br />Barr Engineering Company, and discussed the three grant programs identified as possible funding <br />sources to fund the difference between the approved budget of $80,000 and Barr's cost estimate <br />of $114,425. <br />Landwehr moved to approve the remaining tasks of the Barr Work Plan for the preparation of the <br />GLWMO's second generation plan, Stark seconded. Ayes: 4 Nays: 1 <br />Landwehr moved to reconsider the previously approved motion, Roessler seconded. Ayes: 5 <br />Nays: 0 <br />The Board discussed the proposed workplan in more detail and directed Barr to make minor <br />changes. <br />Soderbeck moved to approve the remaining tasks of the Barr Work plan for the preparation of the <br />GLWMO's second generation plan, Roessler seconded. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 <br />Soderbeck moved to approve a resolution authorizing an agreement between the GLWMO and <br />the State of Minnesota fora $15,600 Planning Grant to assist in the preparation of the 2nd <br />generation plan, Landwehr seconded. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 <br />Soderbeck moved to direct staff to apply for 1999 Local Water Resources Management Plan <br />Grant offered by the Metropolitan Council, Landwehr seconded.
