<br />After a discussion of the views presented by persons <br /> <br />appearing at the public hearing for Storm Drainage Improvement <br /> <br />No. 68-11, Councilman <br /> <br />curley <br /> <br />then introduced the <br /> <br />following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 4070 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT NO. 68-11 UNDER <br />AND PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, <br />Ci~TER 429, AS AMENDED <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota <br />Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a <br />public hearing pursuant to published notice, on the proposed <br />construction of Storm Drainage Improvement No. 68-11 consisting <br />of firstly the relocation and encasement of County Ditch No. 4 <br />from Fairview Avenue westerly and southerly to County Road B, <br />together with a system of collecting and outlet storm sewers to <br />serve the aforedescribed area. Incorporated into the proposed <br />improvement is the utilization of the existing storm sewer system <br />located on Fairview Junior High School building site. Also pro- <br />posed to be served by the proposed improvement would be an area of <br />approximately 20 acres within the Village of Falcon Heights and <br />abutting Roseville along Roselawn Avenue from Fairview Avenue to <br />Prior Avenue. The ultimate discharge of the storm water will <br />be into recently improved County Ditch No. 4 easterly and <br />northerly of the proposed improvement with ultimate discharge <br />into Lake Johanna. The foregoing is as described in the notice <br />of hearing at a cost presently estimated to be approximately <br />$494,200, and is substantially in accordance with the preliminary <br />engineer's report as to the feasibility thereof which is now on <br />file in the office of the Village Manager. Having considered <br />the views of all interested persons and being fully advised <br />in the premises, the Council does hereby determine and order <br />that said improvement shall be constructed and financed, and <br />special assessments shall be levied therefor, pursuant to said <br />Chapter 429, and that the area proposed to be assessed therefor <br />shall include the property as described in the notice of hearing; <br />and that Banister Engineering Co., village consulting engineers, <br />is hereby directed to prepare and submit to the Council final <br />plans and specifications for the construction of said improvement. <br />
