It is expected that the rent abatement period will last 5-6 years. This rent abatement is consistent with the <br />arrangement used when Sprint installed the South City Hall Campus Tower in 2003. City Staff will work <br />with Clearwire Officials and will mutually agree on the tower specifications, installation, and other related <br />improvement costs. <br />POLICY �BJECTIVE <br />The lease agreement provide non property-tax revenue to support the City's information systems (after the <br />rent abatement period expires). <br />FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />The lease agreement call for the City to receive $19,008 annually (adjusted for inflation). These monies <br />will help offset costs associated with the City's Information Technology function (after the rent abatement <br />period expires). <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the lease. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Motion to approve the lease agreement with Clear Wireless, LLC, for leased space at the City Hall North <br />Communication Tower. <br />Prepared by: Chris Miller, Finance Director <br />Attachments: A: Lease Agreements with Clear Wireless, LLC <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
