As a result of overall community input, some areas <br />need further in depth community study and community neighborhood <br />participation. This will be done through conducting a concept Design Charette. <br />The Design Charette will focus on the southwest corner of Roseville, the parks <br />that have older warming shelters with the exception of Lexington Park which has <br />a pertinent master plan and the Harriet Alexander Nature Center Area. <br />Specifically, the Charette bound areas include: <br />1. Autumn Grove Park <br />2. Oasis Park <br />3. Rosebrook Park <br />4. Sandcastle Park <br />5. Villa Park <br />6. Southwest area of Roseville <br />16 7. Harriet Alexander Nature Center including the leaf recycle center and <br />17 the private property identified in the existing system plan at the corner <br />18 of Dale Street and County Road C <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />33 <br />34 <br />35 <br />Further Concept Planninq Areas to be Considered <br />Areas at this time requiring further work and study with the Citizen Advisory <br />Team (CAT) and other partners are as follows: <br />1. Langton Lake Park and surrounding Twin Lakes <br />2. Community Center <br />3. School District Properties (Roseville and Moundsview) <br />4. Potential other areas of Central Park <br />All other parks will be dealt with in one way or another in the final plan. <br />Value Based vs. Statistically Valid Input or Combination <br />The input that has been gathered from the community thus far has been value <br />based. Prior to this process beginning, two outstanding areas that were <br />discussed as a potential need as the process continued, was the value of <br />conducting a statistically valid survey (may be more useful as we get into the <br />implementation stage) and/or a statistically valid needs assessment. This <br />question still needs to be discussed and a thoughtful approach determined. <br />36 <br />37 Summary <br />38 The next community workshop, "Programs, Policies and Priorities", is scheduled <br />39 for April 21, 2010 at the Roseville Skating Center. <br />40 <br />41 The Design Charettes have been scheduled for May 19t" and June 2nd, at the <br />42 Roseville Skating Center. <br />43 <br />2 <br />04/02/10 Page 2 of 36 <br />
