GRASS LAKE WATER MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />October 24,1996 <br />ROLL CALL.: <br />Members present: Jim Olson -Shoreview <br />Jeff Roessler -Roseville <br />Vikki Rensch -Shoreview <br />Members absent: Donald Meyer -Shoreview <br />Kent Kokko -Roseville <br />Staff present: Mark Maloney -Shoreview <br />Karl Keel -Roseville <br />Claudette Chmieleski -Shoreview <br />Consultants present: Marty Rye, SEH, Inc. <br />A. ®R~ANIZATI~I~AL ITEMS <br />A-1 <br />A-2 <br />The minutes for the meeting of July 25,1995 were tabled until the next meeting, <br />January 23, 1997, because of partial Board attendance. <br />Staff Reports on Pending Matters <br />1. Maloney of Shoreview reported on new developrents within Shoreview <br />affecting the GLwMO: <br />a. Victoria Street Reconstruction -work is essentially complete, with <br />some plantings scheduled for next spring in the construction area. <br />b. HiQhway 9b Reconstruction - a short discussion regarding Phase I <br />of Ramsey County's project next spring addressed water runoff, <br />roadway widths, trails, sidewalks, etc, <br />c. Hor e hoe Drive Reconstruction -Resident input was invited at <br />a Neighborhood Meeting held on October 17,1995. Design issues, <br />water quality, and drainage were addressed. <br />d. Maloney reported on an oil spill in the industrial area of Shoreview Park <br />Road, where a contractor repaving a parking lot had allowed the waste <br />oil to run into our nearby catch basin. The Pollution Control Agency <br />was notified of the spill, came out and cleaned. up as best they could, <br />and addressed the situation with the contractor. <br />2. Keel of Roseville reported on new developments within Roseville <br />affecting the GLWMO: <br />a. utlet t Bennett Lake -Since reporting on this outlet at the meeting in <br />July, modif cations had been made to the pipe outlet on the east side of <br />Victoria Street. A fish guard has been installed, a requirement of the <br />
