Grass Lake Watershed Management Organization
SEH Quarterly Consultant Report
January 19, 1994
Page 9
Quality of Service
As pointed out in the October 27, 1994 Consultant Report, my recent services to the Board
may not always have been as timely or as cost effective as you deserve. However, over the
past five years, we have completed a number of projects including:
• GLWMO Operational Manual
• ,Lake Level Management Plan
• Lake O~~asso Outlet Reconstruction
• Grass Lake Outlet Structure at STM 49 (cooperatively with MnDOT)
• Lake Survey Project -South Bay of Lake Wabasso and Lady Slipper Park of
Lake Owasso
• Storm Water Quality Monitoring Program
• SWMM Model Calibration/Verification
• American Legion Park Pond Feasibility Study, Plans and Specifications
• Lake Management Plans
I believe that over this period of time, that we have helped to bring about positive change
to water resources within the watershed.
In November 1992, we sent out Client Surveys to obtain feedback regarding our services
and to find out how we can improve. Five of the seven surveys were returned. The results
of that survey indicated:
• Somewhat dissatisfied with budget, construction cost estimates and number
of changes.
• "The Lake Owasso outlet was an excellent innovation - it has worked very
well."
• The delay on the American Legion Park Project has been adisappointment -
the additional studies after the original report ~n~ere unexpected."
• "Work on satisfying Board need without perceived "Technical Overkill.""
• "The quality of service is great."
• More thorough and accurate cost estimates -not just for fees, but for project
costs."
