These are
listed as follows:
Lake Owasso Homeowners Association-notice of meeting.
2. Letter from Chuck Shearen
Mr. Shearen is requesting that changes be made to the water elevation in the wetland located
north of County Road C just east of Lexington Avenue. This wetland is hydraulically
connected to Bennett Lake. As such, it rises and falls with Bennett Lake. If the board is
interested in pursuing this issue, it should direct staff to investigate this matter in more
detail.
3. Letter from Randy Anhorn, Metropolitan Council
This letter was included with a report "A Study of the Water Quality of 51 Metropolitan
Area Lakes.." This document, approximately 130 pages in length, summarizes water quality
data collected by the Metropolitan Council since 1980. In addition, information collected
from the Citizen-Assisted Monitoring Program conducted by the Metropolitan Council is
also included. While no lakes within GLWMO are included in the report, it is a good
representation of lakes in the Metropolitan area. Please contact Karl Keel if you would like
a copy of this report.
4. DNR permit application-Ramsey County
This permit application, submitted by the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation
Department, is to allow the placement of a sand blanket along the shoreline of Snail Lake
within the Regional Park. All DNR permits are sent to the appropriate watershed
organization for comment. Upon. receipt, staff forwards comments directly to the DNR if
they have issue with the proposed permit.
