PROJECT PURPOSE (why is this project needed--what benefits will it provide?): The project was recommended as the highest cost/benefit ratio BMP for improving water quality in Lake Owasso. The pond system is designed to remove 70 K of hos horns er ear. V11. The only other feasible option for achieving 70 Kg removal target was raising the normal water level in the ditched-wetland.
