The amount of damage caused by hydrologic changes is directly
related to the sensitivity of the wetland vegetation.
4. Highly sensitive wetlands should avoid hydrologic changes.
5. Less sensitive wetlands can sustain some hydrologic
modification-but not an unlimited amount.
6. A systematic plan that avoids, minimizes, and mitigates the
broad spectrum of potential impacts is the only viable option for
sustainable wetland protection, aintenance, aad management.
