2.2D Nutrients <br />The only nutrient included in the study was total phosphorus. Total phosphorus was analyzed <br />during the first two test sessions of the first test sequence. Inserts were tested for phosphorus <br />removal when new, and again ai~er 2 or 3 inches of rain (47 to 65 days in the field) depending on <br />field location. <br />Total phosphorus data are presented in Figure 11 using the same conventions used in the above <br />TSS and metals charts. As with the total metals results, the testing offered no indication that the <br />inserts were effective at removing total phosphorus associated with the very fine sediment in the <br />test water. <br />31 <br />
