Typical size ranges from 15' x 26" to 24" x 36". Most stencils are made of 10 mil myiar. Although some communities have used cardboard, it isn't as durable or easy to use as myiar. There ar® many sources for myiar stencils hers in Minnesota. The decision on where to qet stencils will depend on your budget and available local resources. Some county highway departments or high school shop classes have cut customized stencils for Paint the Town campaigns. Check your local options first, Some groups have tried cutting stencils by hand from the kind of myiar used for crafts, but ft !s difficult to cut smoothly, it's hard to find large enough pieces of the myiar, and the myiar Isn°t very durable.
