Minnesota's legacy has been an
abundance of clean rivers, streams,
_ _ _ lakes, wetlands, and groundwater.
.... _-::::~ Unfortunately, many of our wet-
lands have been drained and our
lakes are deteriorating at accelerat-
ed rates due to pollution. Our rivers
are becoming unusable, and our
drinking water is becoming contam-
inated. The Minnesota River, at its
confluence with the Mississippi
River is the most polluted river in
the state. We must reclaim our lega-
cy. This stenciling project is
designed to make Minnesota River
citizens aware of how storm
sewers can influence the quality of
..::.::.....::..:.: ..:: our waters. Please join us and help
clean up our watershed.
Funding and Supplies
Provided in part by:
Hetropoiitan Council
Local City Covern~~ents
F; fends of the
ey
