<br />SPECIAL PROVISIONS
<br />Erosion control measures shall be adequately designed for the site characteristics. They may include staked haybales, diversion channels,

<br />Practices for Minnesota" MPCA, October 1989, prior to commencement and maintained throughout the project. All exposed soil shall be
<br />stabilized as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours after the completion of [he project. Topsoil should be used to re-dress disturbed soil
<br />areas and indigenous plant species should be used to revegetate disturbed areas whenever possible.
<br />Any work below the water level shall be encircled by a flotation sediment curtain to prevent sediment from being transported beyond the
<br />construction site. This sediment curtain shall be constructed and maintained as illustrated on the enclosure entitled "6.6 Flotation Silt Curtain."
<br />The barrier shall be removed upon completion of the work after the silt has settled.
<br />Upon Completion of the authorized work, the permittee shall submit representative photographs and any as-built surveys, as appropriate, of
<br />the project area to DNR Metro Region Waters (1200 Warner Road, St. Paul, MN 55106).
<br />The Petmittee is authorized to maintain the approved work to the dimensions herein described. Prior to commencing any maintenance work,
<br />the Permittee shall advise the Department of Natural Resources of the extent and method of maintenance. Maintenance work shall not be
<br />commenced until germittee receives written approval from the Department.
<br />The petTnittee shall monitor all disturbed areas for the presence of purple loosestrife and control the plant as described in the enc' '
<br />pamphlet titled Purple LoosesU-ife Alert. The DNR aquatic plant manager should be contacted at 772-7950 for permit needs and addih.._,~!
<br />information.
<br />Temporary dewatering for construction, in excess of 10,000 gallons per day or one million gallons per year, is authorized by this permit
<br />provided the following conditions are met:
<br />a. A plan for the dewatering shall be submitted to the Regional Hydrologist for written prior approval.
<br />b. All necessary erosion and sedimentation control measures shall be taken to prevent transportation of sediment.
<br />No activity affecting the bed of open water areas of protected water may be conducted between April 15 and June 30, to minimi~.e impacts
<br />on fish spawning and migration. If work during this time is essential, it shall be done only upon written approval of the Area Fisheries
<br />Manager, at 612-772-7950.
<br />The mitigation stotmwater ponding areas shall be inspected annually and re-excavated when their volume has been reduced by more than
