CORRESPONDENCE & GENERAL INFORMATION <br />C-1 The Board reviewed the following correspondence received by the GLWMO since the <br />meeting of May 1, 1997: <br />1. Watershed Partners, Minutes to Meeting of May 14, 1997; Notice of June 11, <br />1997 Meeting. Mr. Rye handed out Minutes received for the June 1 1, 1997 <br />meeting of the Watershed Partners. <br />2. Enviro Data, June, 1997, Issue 6, #1 <br />Richard Fowler, Lake Owasso Association, to Mark Maloney, City Engineer, <br />dated June 5, 1997, regarding storm water discharge into Lake Owasso. <br />4. Ramsey County Parks & Recreation, Wetland Replacement Plan Application, <br />June 24, 1997 <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, July 2, 1997, Protected Waters <br />Permit No. 97-6136, Roadway Improvements, Sucker Lake (62-28P), Ox Lake <br />(62-25W) Snail Lake (62-73P), and Unnamed Wetland (62-260W), Ramsey <br />County <br />6. Letter to Michael Weburg, CO-R, St. Paul District Corp of Engineers, from Todd <br />Howard, dated May 5, 1997, regarding proposed GP-17-MN Permit. <br />D. REPORTS <br />D-1 Consultant's Report <br />No activity was reported, and the Board took no action on this item <br />D-2 GLWMO Public Education/Information Plan <br />Previously it was decided to focus on two of the five proposed educational goals: <br />® Modify turf management practices to protect water quality <br />® Remind public about impacts of recreational lake use on lake quality and of the <br />importance of water quality to standard of living/general health. <br />Staff had no formal presentation of the Education/Information Plan for the Board's <br />review. An informal review of the objectives and long-range goals desired for the <br />Education/Information Plan were discussed. Staff will update the Board on the Plan at <br />the October meeting. <br />
