Wetland Buffer Minimum Setback Policy Resolution No. 98-21
Roger Lake noted that this resolution is being proposed prior to obtaining the results of the
vegetative and undisturbed buffer inventory which is slated for completion later this fall or winter.
Pat Conrad believes that the 10-foot minimum setback proposed in this resolution addresses the
issue of erosion control. Tracey Galowitz remarked that this policy must be based on the fact that
it serves the public good.
Motion: Pam Skinner moved, seconded by Bob Johnson, to adopt Resolution No. 98-21 to
establish a minimum wetland buffer setback requirement of 10 feet for all "Protect," "Manage-l,"
and "Manage-2" wetlands within the District. The motion carried as follows: Ayes: Pam Skinner,
Bob Johnson, Paul Ellefson, Jack Frost. Nayes: Roger Lake.
10.
