The lake is used for fishing, boating, and <br />swimming. There is a county park and public access on the lake as well. Based on 1997 water quality <br />data, its existing classification would be Category I. Each of the water quality parameters and the <br />Trophic State Index value fall within the range expected for category I water bodies. This classification <br />indicates that Lake Owasso supports direct contact recreational activities. Summer average water <br />quality parameters (May-Sept., 1997) were as follows: Secchi disk = 2.~ meters; Total phosphorus = <br />34.8 ug/L; Chlorophyll = 13.3 ug/L; TSI= 51.9.
