Congratulations Paul! <br />i <br />~' ~1 <br />6j~j ~~=~~ ~f I IJ <br />~? ~~r l~ <br />® A big thank you to the <br />Riley Purgatory JBlu <br />Creek ~D for hosting the <br />1999 MAWD Summer Tour. <br />Thanks for a very productive <br />Summer Tour! <br />S IBS S <br />The 45th watershed district in Minnesota, the Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Water- <br />shed District, was officially ordered by the Board of Water and Soil Resources <br />(BWSR) on September 23, 1999. <br />The newest addition to the watershed district family is located in Washington and <br />Chicago counties. The territory to be included in the Comfort Lake-Forest Lake <br />Watershed District encompasses a total area of approximately 49.2 square miles <br />including the Cities of Forest Lake and Wyoming, and the Towns of Chicago <br />Lakes, Wyoming, Forest Lake and New Scandia. <br />This area generally reflects the area in the Forest Lake Watershed Management <br />Organization and the Comfort Lake drainage area in Chicago County, which is <br />generally the drainage area previously managed by the Joint Washington and <br />Chicago County Ditch Board No. 1. <br />The Board of Managers consist of five members and were appointed for the first <br />year by BWSR. The members include: <br />Don Holl President Forest Lake <br />Ken Barta Vice president Forest Lake <br />Lou Sibik Secretary Forest Lake <br />John Lynch Treasurer Forest Lake <br />Dennis Larson Manager Scandia <br />Forest Lake City Hall will be the official place of business for the new watershed <br />district.
