on the site. Suggestions include: <br />1.) Reduce road widths. <br />2.) Eliminate paving in the center of cul de sacs. <br />3.) Reduce sidewalk widths. <br />4.) Allow and provide for shared parking. <br />5.) Install semipermeable/permeable or porous paving. <br />6.) Vegetated swales instead of curb and gutter. <br />7.) Filter strips <br />8.) "Green" (vegetated) roofs. <br />Section 7.0. Review. The city engineer shall review the storm water pollution control plan. <br />This review must be completed within fourteen (14) days of receiving the plan from the <br />developer. <br />7.1 Permit Required. If the city determines that the storm water pollution control plan meets <br />the requirements of this ordinance, the city shall issue a permit valid for a specified period of <br />time, that authorizes the land disturbance activity contingent on the implementation and <br />completion of this plan. <br />7.2 Denial. If the city determines that the storm water pollution control plan does not meet <br />the requirements of this ordinance, the city shall not issue a permit for the land disturbance <br />activity. This plan must be resubmitted for approval before the land disturbance activity begins. <br />A.) All land use and building permits must be suspended until the developer has an <br />approved storm water pollution control plan. <br />Section 8.0. Modification of Plan. An approved storm water pollution control plan may be <br />modified on submission of a written application for modification to the city, and after written <br />approval by the city engineer. In reviewing such an application, the city engineer may require <br />additional reports and data. <br />8.1 Records Retention. The city shall retain the written records of such modifications for at <br />least five (5) years. <br />Section 9.0. Enforcement. The city shall be responsible enforcing this ordinance. <br />18 <br />
