Please send the enclosed <br />form, with payment, for those <br />attending. List those legislators <br />who will be attending the break- <br />fast and with whom you are <br />meeting during the day. <br />The Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts is hosting a legislative breakfast <br />and information meetings. A legislative update by key players in the 2000 legislative <br />session will be held on Thursday, February 24 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Breakfast on <br />Friday will be at 7:00 a.m. This will allow time for you to visit with individual <br />legislators in their office and to attend committee meetings. <br />Meetings and breakfast will be at the Kelly Inn, 161 St. Anthony (near the Capitol) in <br />St. Paul <br />®s ® ~ e o <br />Watershed Districts are invited to send managers and staff, and are responsible for <br />inviting local legislators to the breakfast and setting up meetings with legislators later <br />in the day. Legislator's calendars fill quickly, so call soon. Legislators may attend the <br />breakfast at their own expense, or if they are willing to be part of the formal program <br />by speaking and answering questions, they may attend at MAWD's expense. <br />The purpose of this <br />legislative day is for <br />managers to meet with <br />legislators one-on-one <br />to get better acquainted <br />and to make them <br />aware of watershed <br />districts' perspective on <br />key issues. <br />~ 1 ACC® ® ~ ® s: <br />A block of rooms has been reserved at the Kelly Inn for the night of February 24, 2000.
