The
operational plan is a listing of management activities that have occurred in the recent past as well as those expected
to continue in the near future . The potential plan is more of a `wish list' for consideration should opportunities or
resources become available. The plan has these elements:
Long Range Objective: To provide a fish population with muskellunge in excess of 48 inches and
walleye with a gillnet catch per unit effort (CPUE) of 5 that will support 60
angler-hours per acre annual fishing pressure.
Mid Range Objective: Support walleye gillnet CPUE to 4 per lift and fish populations that will
support 30 angler-hours per acre of fishing.
Operational Plan:
1. Annual winter fish house counts.
2. Re-survey in 2001; population assessment in 2006.
3. Stock walleye fingerlings biannually.
4. Stack muskellunge biannually.
5. Utilize lake as source of muskellunge eggs.
6. Utilize lake as source of adult bluegill for stocking other lakes.
7. Review all applications for aquatic plant management and Dept. of Waters
permits.
8. Encourage local WMO to develop programs to reduce nutrient loading.
