<br />BWSR clientele <br />Page 2 <br />For operating budget reductions, the agency is examining work process reforms. Since our operations budget <br />is already lean, cuts. in that budget will affect staffing levels. We are planning to eliminate approximately 4.5 <br />positions under the 10 percent reduction scenario. <br />Legislative hearings on BWSR's budget have already begun. The Governor has asked the Legislature to act <br />quickly to address both the current biennium and the 2004-OS biennium shortfalls. <br />If you have questions, need clarification, or have ideas, please feel free to contact me. In the meantime, <br />BWSR's web site (www.bwsr.state.mn.us) has a PowerPoint presentation that provides information on the <br />budget reduction plan.
