~. g . a z <br />S <br />e to er , <br />to :3 <br />Complimentary Dinner Follows Tour <br />Please join the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District Board of Managers and staff on our <br />annual tour of District project sites and water management problem areas. We will tour in a <br />comfortable tour coach bus on the afternoon of September 16, 2002 and return to the District office <br />for a complimentary dinner and refreshments. The tour will start and end at the District office <br />(1902 East County Rd. B, Maplewood). There is no cost for the tour or dinner. <br />The 2001 tour was a great success and appreciated by all attending. The group inspected several <br />existing Watershed water quality, flood control, and habitat restoration projects, as well as <br />innovative city stormwater management projects. Tentative tour stops this year include: <br />• Valley Creek Road Infiltration Project <br />• Lake Phalen shoreline restoration <br />• Landscape Ecology Award site <br />• Wetland biological monitoring site <br />• Cowern School nature area <br />• North St. Paul Urban Ecology Center <br />• Old Beltline Interceptor Outlet Project <br />• Battle Creek Lake watershed flood control and <br />water quality improvements <br />• District office -see educational materials, GIS <br />demonstration and more <br />Please RSVP by 4:00. , September 10, 2002 <br />To register call Shelly or Carole at 651-704-2089 between 8:00 <br />AM and 4:30 PM. Please let Shelly or Carole know if you will <br />be attending the tour only, the dinner only, or both. Tour <br />registrations will be limited to 55 people. Please feel free to <br />invite others that may be interested in our District programs and <br />projects. <br />
