Congratula- lions to the STWRD board for their hard work? • Reported that they now have 43 landowners, most of which are ready'todo permalient easementsfor con- servation projects of all sorts. Now they have to find funding for theprojects. • For- thefirst time, STRWD has a network of volunteer monitors in the district. All thirteen ai-e trained and 'supplied with equipments The disn~ictis hosting the first well watertesting dayalong with Stearns SWCD on June 11`~ They will be doing a project water quality and quantityproject dealing with a wetland reserve along with a sediment pond. The local SWCD didthe technical assistance andengineeriilg. STRWD is doing the con- stniction and fimding it. • New bylaws have been written acid adopted. • Policies for the district. are being developed. Anew office employee is bung trained. Regular ot~ice hours are now being held 2 days a week on Tuesdays; 2-6 p.ln., andT`hursdays, 10-2 p.m. at Albany Community Center. • New advisors have been appointed.
