GLWMO Meeting <br />October 23, 2003 <br />Page 2 <br />B-2 The Board discussed the following correspondence sent by the GLWMO since <br />the August 14, 2003 meeting: <br />1. Roseville Mayor & City Council Members, August 15, 2003, by <br />GLWMO Board Member Landwehr, Leaf Compost Site in Roseville. <br />2. Article to appear in Shoreview's ShoReview, Fall/Winter 2003 issue. It <br />was suggested that a web link be provided in the article with possibly <br />further description of information available on the GLWMO website. <br />Future (seasonal) ShoReview articles could appear with the same basic <br />GLWMO "jacket" with text changing as necessary. <br />C. Bills <br />C-1 Bills to be considered for payment <br />None were presented for consideration. <br />D. Other Business <br />D-1 NEW Table 6-1/2004 Budget <br />There was discussion regarding the need to update Table 6-1 from the Plan, and <br />the desire to use and continuously update. it and use it to structure future <br />meetings. The was extended, generalized discussion about the limitations of <br />relying on existing technical staff for new initiatives, and the potential roles of <br />consultants vs. staff vs. volunteers. The concept of sharing apart-time <br />administrative or technical employee with another District or WMO was <br />discussed. <br />It was suggested that a financial statement should be presented. and fund balances <br />discussed at future meetings. <br />Other items discussed included assignments for board members prior to next <br />meeting, including contacting other WMO's regarding co-op positions or sharing <br />administrative services, outside assistance for data collection and the web site <br />and a meeting possibly with Stephanie McNamara of VLWMO. <br />It was decided that GLWMO would hold a special meeting at 4:OOpm on <br />Wednesday, November 19, 2003, to further discuss these items. <br />Soderbeck moved approval of the proposed 2004 GLWMO Budget, as adjusted, <br />for the amount of $70,000, equally split between the Cities of Roseville and <br />Shoreview, Brasch seconded. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0. <br />
