How do biological <br />components fit into water quality? The addition of biological elements adds complexity to the system. Fisheries <br />and water quality is more than clean water.. Shoreland protection and aquatic vegetation must also be factored in <br />the water quality equation to insure good fish habitat. <br />Presenter: Don Pereira, Ph. D., DNR Fisheries Research Supervisor, SWWD Manager <br />Tech Seminar II Utilizing GPS and GIS to Identify Lake or Wafer Resource Issues <br />A discussion on using GPS and GIS with other information to identify, prioritize and resolve lake and stream <br />issues. Stearns County has started to identify inlets and delineating watersheds or drainage areas for those inlets. <br />They identify where conservation projects can be best applied for the most impact.
