Public management is the process that leaders use to make decisions about involving consultants and <br />the public. Public participation is the actual involvement of people in a problem solving ordecision-making pro- <br />cesses that may interest or affect them. Greater finesse with the human dimensions of watershed management <br />can. benefit the watershed, staff, board members and public. Five key concepts will be explored. <br />Trainers: Jody Horntvedt - University of Minnesota Extension Service -Jody has facilitated meetings, moder- <br />atedplanning forums, coached Watershed District leaders and developed practical tools for day-to- <br />day operations.
