GRASS LAKE WATER MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION
AGENDA ITEM
Date: 04/24/08. Prepared by: Mark Maloney ~ Item: D-2
Other Business
Item Description: Roseville Yard Waste Site Monitoring
Per discussion at the February meeting, Barr Engineering Company has prepared a proposal for services
related to monitoring the water quality of the runoff from Roseville's Yard Waste Compost Site (copy
attached). The site was identified in the 2001. GLWMO Management Plan. as a potential source of excess
nutrients in the Lake Owasso watershed.
The proposal includes two options; one for monitoring services during 2008 at an estimated cost of
$5,600 and another more extensive approach estimated at .$39,000. Barr representatives will be available
at the meeting to present the details of the two Yard Waste Site options.
Recommended Board Action:
The Board should discuss the issue in the context of a City vs. WMO responsibility, and consider the two
options.
