Pollution preventian. <br />Board Member Eckman noted that there is direct discharge into Turtle Lake. Mr. <br />Malone� stated that problem is scheduled in the City's budget to be addressed in 2011. <br />At some time all direct discharge will be modified. <br />Board Member Eckman suggested a public meeting to expand watershed activity and <br />discuss rain gardens and other measures residents can implement themselves. A meeting <br />to address public infrastructure and private practice needs to be addressed. Maintenance <br />workers also need to be educated to do what is being recommended to residents. <br />Mr. Schwartz stated that there is a lot of interest in rain gardens. Roseville has a checklist <br />brochure for water quality measures that is handed out to residents. <br />Miscellaneaus <br />Mr. Schwartz announced that Deb Bloom had been recognized as Conservationist of the <br />Year by the Ramsey County Board of Soil and Water Conservation. <br />It was the consensus of the Board to schedule a workshop meeting on Tuesday, <br />September 9, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. <br />It was the consensus of the Board to change the regularly scheduled GLWMO Board <br />meeting from October 23, 200$ to Thursday, October 16, 2008. <br />It was moved by Ferrington, seconded by Mogg to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 p.m. <br />7 <br />
