Calibrations will be done to see how much is <br />flowing from the watershed into the lake. <br />The remaining parts of the study to be done includes flux modeling and using data <br />collected to get a better estimate of internal loading, chemical intensity in the lake <br />and recommendations for Best Management Practices (BMPs). <br />The Board briefly discussed the impact of phosphorous in the wetland if water <br />from the wetland is flowing into the lake, whether ditches would be possible, the <br />presence of Eurasian milfoil that is heavy in some areas. <br />Schwartz requested that the final report list potential projects for future <br />consideration with the recommendations. It was noted that the homeowner <br />association meeting for Lake Owasso is April 30, 2009. Kelsey offered to have a <br />report on the Lake Owasso study put on the agenda. <br />The final report and recommendations will be presented to the Board at the April <br />meeting. Twelve design plans were completed. The amount budgeted was $10,000; <br />the amount spent was $6,000. <br />Goals for 2009 include: <br />• A rain garden presentation in April; <br />• Shoreline Presentation for Lake Owasso or Snail Lake through grant funding <br />available form BWSR <br />• Update website <br />• Increase awareness of GLWMO residents about the cost-share program and the <br />assistance that is available residential water quality projects. <br />D-3 Highway 49 Project Update <br />Maloney reported that Ramsey County is phasing the reconstruction of Highway <br />49 from County Road J to County Road B over several years.
