The RCD is currently administering a similar program with federal Neighborhood
Development Block Grant t;NDBG) funds ($10,000). Through free public service
announcements in local newspapers with which we have contacts, we have generated significant
interest in this cost-share program. In three months, 82 residential homeowners have contacted
us requesting to participate. We are seeking the participation of the major water jurisdictions in
Ramsey County and the St. Paul Regional Water Services.
The chart below shows the number of inquiries by water jurisdiction, beginning in early April:
Grass Lake VIAWMO, Z
WMO, 12
~`,
Rice Creek ' ~ ,~
WD, 34
~~~Capitol
Region WD,
10
~ Ramsey Wash Metro
WD
~ Capitol Region WD
Rice Creek WD
I
~ Grass Lake WMO
VLAWMO
Note: The media announcement for the Vadnais Lake area was published later than in other
areas and we believe the actual level of interest in the program would have been much higher.
