Project parameters include dredging out accumulated sand to expand the current ramp footprint to
an area 36 feet wide and 120 feet long. Permit #94-6180 allows for a boat ramp Footprint 24 feet wide by
113 feet Long at the County launch. The general public boat launch guidelines allow far a width of 36
feet. Ramsey County is requesting that the permit be amended to allow for the additional 7 feet in length
to remove a sand bar that has historically impeded boat traffic using the launch. Ctu-rent low water
conditions will allow the work to be performed in the dry. The anticipated 240 yds3 of sand to be
removed from the take bottom will be spread out on the adjoining beach `area to the southwest of the
launch. Please refer to the attached site plan for details. !t
Feei free to contact me with any further questions.
,-
Sincerely, ° ~,,, ~~~. ~° ~-`
,~
©• ~~P°
Alan Rupno
Environmental Resource Specialist
651-266-7162
aian.rupnaw~ca.ramsey.mn.us
C: Ramsey County Park 8.
