This agreement gave the organiza-
tion the authority to address the prob-
lems of increased flooding and degraded
water quality in the watershed. The legal
roles, responsibilities, and powers of our
organization are outlined in Minnesota
Statute 1036 and the joint powers
agreement.
The GLWMO has several overall water-
shed management purposes, including
managing intercommunity stormwater
runoff, protecting and preserving water
resources, establishing policies for water ''~
resources management, preventing soil
erosion, promoting groundwater re-
charge, and protecting and enhancing
wildlife habitat and water recreation, all
while minimizing public capital expendi-
tures. -- e_
_;,
..
:,~ _
~- ~ ~~~
- i i august 2009
~,,
~'
f.- 62~11dYJ ,.
"628J4!
r--- / ~' r
62 . r:c: ~; -'..--
}
~;
~~~ .
Figure 6 ` '
GRA55 LAKE W~dO 1 ~ !
WATEP,SHEDS t -~ ~(
DNR-PROTECTED WATERS
AND NVVI WETLANDS ~ j ~:
Roseville and Shorevlev!- ~dN ~ ~~
,n,5~ u~
_ _ ,«'! ;
EGENC
l~
> , ,, ~
___ _' r
® _,, ~ ,,. .,. f'
,.: ,
~ <<~~:-
~- ~-
(~;~ ~ P;~
F
_ s=
}~ _
;;
,r
- ~ ~ 62~7d31Y ~`~~
622tZW} / ,62.2 i - ~ ~"
'~62206W -~ !
62271W 62269P ~ --
62213W~. ~' ~~. ,62169Yl~~
e T ~ 62-18LV :.'
~~
62 210W ~ ~ ~ - 1'
;~ ~ ; ~,
_. ~L
~:
~~ _
'~_
- - -r
c _._ r
1 2007-2008 Activity Report
