<br />Resolution No. ....2Q.- <br /> <br />Adopted July 21, 1953 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Village Council fixed the date for a hearing on the proposed <br />improvement of Roma Street from the east line of Fernwood Avenue to the <br />West line of Dunlap Street by grading and installing proper drainage <br />structures, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is lia~e to be assessed for <br />the making of this improvement were given ten (10) days pu1lnlic notice of <br />the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required <br />notice and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon <br />on the 14th day of July, 1953, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for said improvement <br />the following bids were heard: <br /> <br />Walcon Excavating Co. <br />Koalska Brothers <br />Ernest Markham <br />Ray Sina Const. Co. <br />Clement Scully Co. <br />Howard Angel <br /> <br />$3593.50 <br />2124.68 <br />1964.00 <br />2591.40 <br />3471.00 <br />2672 .00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Ernest IVlarkham of Roseville, Minnesota, is the <br />lowest responsib~e bidder, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE: <br /> <br />1. The improvement of Roma Street from the east line of Fernwood <br />Street to the West line of Dumlap Street by grading and installing proper <br />drainage structures is hereby ordered. <br /> <br />2. The plans and specifications prepared by M. J. Carley, <br />engineer for such improvements, a copy of which plans and specifications <br />is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall <br />be filed With the Village Clerk. <br /> <br />3. That the flayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter tnto a contract with Ernest Markham of Roseville, Minnesota, in <br />the name of the Village of Roseville for the improvement of Roma Street <br />from the East line of fernwood Street to the West line of Dunlap Street <br />according to the plans and specifications approved therefore by the Village <br />Council and on file in the office of the Village Clerk. <br /> <br />4. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the <br />deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be <br />retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 21st day of July, 1953 <br />
