Placement of flags or markings. If using N/C (no <br />7 conflict) flags or markings pursuant to subpart 2, an operator <br />8 shall place the flags or markings in a location that can be <br />9 readily observed by an excavator. When an area of proposed <br />10 excavation is delineated by the use of white markings, an <br />11 operator shall place the N/C flags or markings within, or as <br />12 near as practicable to, the delineated area. <br />13 Subp. 4. Duties of notification center. After December <br />14 31, 2005, the notification center shall make the information <br />15 received under subpart 2 available to the excavator before the <br />16 start date and time on the notice. The notification center may <br />17 fulfill this requirement by making the information accessible <br />18 through one or more Internet addresses, by transmitting the <br />19 information to a continuously working facsimile machine <br />20 maintained by the excavator, or by other methodology developed <br />21 by the notification center. The notification center shall make <br />22 available the information received by operators pursuant to this <br />23 section through an electronic means.
