EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 7~' day of June, 2010, at <br />6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Johnson, Ihlan, Pust, Roe, and Klausing; <br />and the following were absent: None . <br />Member Pust introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 10818 <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA HOUSING <br />FINANCE AGENCY FUNDING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SIENNA GREEN <br />PHASE II IN ROSEVILLE BY AEON <br />WHEREAS, applications are being accepted by Minnesota Housing Financing <br />Agency (MHFA) for multi-family housing funds on June 15, 2010; <br />WHEREAS, Aeon, a nonprofit housing developer, will be applying for MHFA <br />funds for its Sienna Green Phase II project, which includes the development of new <br />affordable housing opportunities in Roseville; <br />WHEREAS, one of the goals of Roseville's 2030 Comprehensive Plan is to <br />provide a wide variety of housing options in order to retain and attract a diverse mix of <br />people and family types with varying economic statuses, ages, and abilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2030 Comprehensive Plan includes a policy to partner with <br />regional, state, and federal agencies; other cities/HRAs; nonprofit groups; and private- <br />sector developers to provide high-quality, affordable housing to accommodate the City's <br />share of regional affordable-housing needs; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Roseville City Council strongly <br />supports Aeon's application for MHFA funding for the development of the Sienna Green <br />Phase II located at 2275 Snelling Avenue in Roseville. <br />
