<br />residential properties that incorporate best prattices in gardening,
<br />landspping, building or remodeling a home in Roseville. Winning
<br />propetties will be highlighted at the 2011 Roseville "Living Smarter" Fair.

<br />Meet Pad G. Scenneker, Construction Maoager at HRC
<br />Paul G. Scenneker has been
<br />with the HRC since June 2001.
<br />Paul worked for 18 years in the
<br />consumction trade where he
<br />gained extensive hands-on ex-
<br />perience as a contractor. While
<br />managing and working ac his
<br />own contracting business, Paul
<br />served both cenval Minnesota
<br />and the Twin Cities area. Paul's
<br />experience of providing technical assistance to residential homeowners,
<br />consvucting new single-family homes and renovating existing homes have
<br />given him a solid foundation as a wnstruction manager for the Housing
<br />Resource Center°-NorthMecro.
<br />THE 2Ol O ~~LIVING SMARTERrr FAIR
<br />The "Living Smarter" Fair continues to inspire Roseville residents about
<br />sustainable ways to live. In 2010, 74 exhibitors showcased their produar
<br />and services to 1,200 visitors who attended the event. "The community is
<br />very excited about the Fair's new approach that promotes a sustainable life-
<br />style," said Jeanne Kelsey, Housing Program Coordinator for the Roseville
<br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority. "Many of this yeaz s visitors even
<br />came from Roseville's neighbor-
<br />ing wmmunities, including
<br />Falcon Heights, Lauderdale,
<br />St. Paul, Little Canada, Arden
<br />Hills, Shomiew, New Brigh-
<br />ton, and St. Anthony."
<br />The 2010 Fair was generously
<br />supported by Kath Heating &
<br />A/C, Bremer Bank, Renewal
<br />by Andersen, Otogawa-Anschel
<br />Design Build, Linder's, and
<br />Castle Building & Remodel-
<br />ing. The Fairs well-aztended seminars featured tips for hralthy gardening,
<br />interior decor and green cooking (presented by Williams-Sonoma).
<br />"In 2010, we also reduced our garbage in half. In 2009, 95.6% of event's
<br />waste was compostable, reused or recycled. This year's was 97.9°rb,' said
<br />Kelsey The Fair is also an example of a successful community par[ner-
<br />ship between the RHRA, the City of Roseville, Roseville Area Schools
<br />and Community Isducation, Roseville Senior Program, Lillie Suburban
<br />Newspapers, and many community volunteers, especially Shirley Friberg
