<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE. MINNESOTA. HELD OCTOBER 27. 1969 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of <br />the Village Council of the Village of Roseville. Minnesota. was duly <br />held in said Village on Monday. the 27th day of October. 1969. at <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />TIle following members were present: Mayor Moll. Councilmen <br />Grauel. Linebarger. Anderson and Curley <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley then introduced the following resolution: NO. 5267 <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the general public safety is partially dependent upon <br />the ability of local fire departments to reduce and eliminate the <br />threat of fire to life and property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. this capability is achieved primarily through training <br />exercises; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the adequate tralnlng requires suitable facilities for <br />the teaching of fire prevention and fire fighting techniques and <br />methods; and <br />not <br />WHEREAS. an adequate training facility does/now exist in the Twin <br />Cities Metropolitan area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the need of such a fire training facility is increasing <br />with the continuing growth and industrialization of the metropolitan <br />area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fire training center and its staff would serve all fire <br />prevention and fire fighting agencies in the metropolitan area; <br /> <br />NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE. MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />That it supports in principle the establishment of a Metropolitan <br />Area Fire Service Training Center. <br />
