<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD ON <br />NOVEMBER la, 1969 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of <br />the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall at 2701 North Lexington <br />Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, November 10, 1969, at <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Holl, Counci !men <br />Anderson, Linebarger, Curley and Grauel <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Grauel introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5273 <br /> <br />\~JEREAS, the Village of Roseville recognizes its responsibility <br />as a member of the 7 County Metropolitan Area; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Roseville realizes that there are severe <br />financial problems facing some of the governmental units in the metro- <br />politan area; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been charged by the 1969 <br />State Legislature to study the problem of fiscal disparities and to <br />make recommendations to the 1971 State Legislature; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Roseville, Minnesota, that: <br /> <br />1. The Village of Roseville is opposed to any and all special <br />municipal taxes levied by individual governmental units <br />within the 7 County ~~tropolitan Area. <br /> <br />2. That if a special municipal tax is necessary it should be <br />levied over the entire 7 County metropolitan area. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Curley and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: All present <br />and the following voted against same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON SAID llliSOLUTION WAS DECLARED DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED. <br />
