EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD ON NOVEMBER la, 1969 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall at 2701 North Lexington Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, November 10, 1969, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Holl, Counci !men Anderson, Linebarger, Curley and Grauel and the following members were absent: None. Member Grauel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 5273 \~JEREAS, the Village of Roseville recognizes its responsibility as a member of the 7 County Metropolitan Area; WHEREAS, the Village of Roseville realizes that there are severe financial problems facing some of the governmental units in the metro- politan area; WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been charged by the 1969 State Legislature to study the problem of fiscal disparities and to make recommendations to the 1971 State Legislature; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, that: 1. The Village of Roseville is opposed to any and all special municipal taxes levied by individual governmental units within the 7 County ~~tropolitan Area. 2. That if a special municipal tax is necessary it should be levied over the entire 7 County metropolitan area. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Curley and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against same: None WHEREUPON SAID llliSOLUTION WAS DECLARED DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED.
