EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 10th day of January, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Wiski, and the following were absent: Mastel, P. Johnson, Goedeke, and V. Johnson. Member Goedeke introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9027 ADMINISTRATION/IMPLEMENTATION OF TOBACCO AGE OF SALE COMPLIANCE CHECKS BY THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE/ROSEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Minnesota Department of Health has continued concern about health hazards relating to the use of tobacco products; and WHEREAS, the city of Roseville has continued concern about vendor compliance with tobacco product sales to those under 18; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Health has established a grant process to support local government projects aimed at age compliance checks for tobacco sales; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Health for the following purpose: to reimburse the City of Roseville for money spent for approved activities in connection with the North Suburban compliance Project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Project Director, the Deputy Chief of Police, or designated representative of the Roseville Police Depart- ment is hereby authorized to apply for an execute such agreement and any amendment thereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Wi ski , and upon a vote being taken thereon, following voted in favor thereof: Mastel, P. Johnson, Goedeke, Wiski, and the following voted against the same: None. duly the and WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
