<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 10th day of January, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Wiski, and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Mastel, P. Johnson, Goedeke, and <br />V. Johnson. <br /> <br />Member Goedeke introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9027 <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION/IMPLEMENTATION OF <br />TOBACCO AGE OF SALE COMPLIANCE CHECKS <br />BY THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE/ROSEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Department of Health has continued concern about <br />health hazards relating to the use of tobacco products; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Roseville has continued concern about vendor <br />compliance with tobacco product sales to those under 18; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Health has established a grant <br />process to support local government projects aimed at age compliance <br />checks for tobacco sales; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville enter into <br />an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Health for the following <br />purpose: to reimburse the City of Roseville for money spent for <br />approved activities in connection with the North Suburban compliance <br />Project. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Project Director, the Deputy Chief of <br />Police, or designated representative of the Roseville Police Depart- <br />ment is hereby authorized to apply for an execute such agreement and <br />any amendment thereto. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />seconded by Member Wi ski , and upon a vote being taken thereon, <br />following voted in favor thereof: Mastel, P. Johnson, Goedeke, <br />Wiski, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />duly <br />the <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
