General Consultation <br /> <br />Mr. Gatlin shall be available to provide technical supervision and advice to City <br />public works staff regarding the progress of the City's general engineering and <br />design work. <br /> <br />2. Attend necessary meetings with the City Council and City property owners as may <br />be necessary to develop the City's 1994 Pavement Management Program. <br /> <br />3. Agency Liaison <br /> <br />Mr. Gatlin shall be available to meet with state and local agencies, such as <br />MnDOT, Office of State Aid, and Ramsey County Public Works Department, as <br />may be necessary to maintain the progression of City issues with these agencies. <br /> <br />SECTION II. THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITY <br /> <br />A. THE CITY shall: <br /> <br />1. Provide Mr. Gatlin with office space, administrative services, and supplies as may <br />be necessary for the progress of his services when he is located in City Hall. <br /> <br />2. Provide for the general administration and supervision of public works and <br />maintenance employees. <br /> <br />3. In recognition of the limited services to be provided by Mr. Gatlin (estimated 4-6 <br />hours/week) and in anticipation that the great majority of any design and <br />engineering services are to be provided by the City's staff, the City shall hold <br />THE ENGINEER and Mr. Gatlin harmless, shall indemnify and defend them from <br />any loss, claim, liability, and expense (including reasonable attorney's fees and <br />expenses of litigation) arising from, or based in whole or in part on THE <br />ENGINEER's services under this Supplement. <br /> <br />SECTION III. PA YMENT TO THE ENGINEER <br /> <br />A. Payment for services provided under this Supplement shall be paid by the City to THE <br />ENGINEER based upon THE ENGINEER's hourly rates as described by Section V, <br />A.l., of the Professional Services Agreement. <br /> <br />000-0803 .d~c <br />
