General Consultation Mr. Gatlin shall be available to provide technical supervision and advice to City public works staff regarding the progress of the City's general engineering and design work. 2. Attend necessary meetings with the City Council and City property owners as may be necessary to develop the City's 1994 Pavement Management Program. 3. Agency Liaison Mr. Gatlin shall be available to meet with state and local agencies, such as MnDOT, Office of State Aid, and Ramsey County Public Works Department, as may be necessary to maintain the progression of City issues with these agencies. SECTION II. THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITY A. THE CITY shall: 1. Provide Mr. Gatlin with office space, administrative services, and supplies as may be necessary for the progress of his services when he is located in City Hall. 2. Provide for the general administration and supervision of public works and maintenance employees. 3. In recognition of the limited services to be provided by Mr. Gatlin (estimated 4-6 hours/week) and in anticipation that the great majority of any design and engineering services are to be provided by the City's staff, the City shall hold THE ENGINEER and Mr. Gatlin harmless, shall indemnify and defend them from any loss, claim, liability, and expense (including reasonable attorney's fees and expenses of litigation) arising from, or based in whole or in part on THE ENGINEER's services under this Supplement. SECTION III. PA YMENT TO THE ENGINEER A. Payment for services provided under this Supplement shall be paid by the City to THE ENGINEER based upon THE ENGINEER's hourly rates as described by Section V, A.l., of the Professional Services Agreement. 000-0803 .d~c
