An international news junkie? Someone with a photographic memory? We challenge <br />you to put your worldly wisdom to the test against hundreds of other internationalists at the 10th edition of <br />MIC's popular Wor/dQuest International Trivia Competition on Friday, October 29, 2010. All proceeds <br />support MIC's K-12 Education Program. <br />Participants will compete in teams of eight, and topics will include: world events, flags and capitals, geography, <br />people in the news, the 2010 Great Decisions topics, and MIC's 2011 gala benefit focus country, France. <br />Sample questions from past WorldQuest games are available online, and hints and practice questions will be <br />given on MIC's Facebook page. <br />Sponsored by General Mills, Inc., <br />Host: Tom Crann of Minnesota Public Radio's All Things Considered <br />When: Friday, October 29, 2010 <br />Registration/Team Check-In 6:30 P; Trivia competition 7:00 P - 9:30 P <br />Where: McNamara Alumni Center, University of Minnesota (directions) <br />200 Oak Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455 <br />Cost: $35 per person or $250 per team of 8 <br />Discount for students: $20 per person/$140 per team of 8; MIC will organize teams for participants who register as individuals. <br />Registration: Priority registration opens to current MIC Members ONLY on Monday, August 9 (registration will be available <br />here). Public registration opens on Thursday, September 9. <br />All teams MUST register and complete payment in advance. <br />
