ddb <br />July 22, 2010 <br />RE: Rice Street/TH 36 Interchange Reconstruction Project <br />PUBLIC HEARING FOR WORK HOUR EXTENSION REQUEST <br />Monday, August 9, 2010, 6:00 pm, Roseville City Hall. <br />Lw1da Construction has been hired by Ramsey County to complete road and utility construction work on <br />Rice Street between County Road B-2 and County Road B. This construction is currently underway. <br />The City has received a request from them to perform a portion of their work outside of normal work <br />hours. <br />Since your property will potentially be impacted by this variance, we wished to invite you to the public <br />hearing considering this request that will be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 2660 <br />Civic Center Drive, on Monday, August 9, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. The specific request: <br />Variance from City Code section 405.03 HOURLY RESTRIC'T'IONS OF CERTAIN <br />OPERATIONS: Lunda Construction is seeking a variance from code section 405.03 D. Construction <br />Activities. This section of the City's code permits construction activities to occur between the hours of <br />seven oclock (7:00) A.M. and ten o'clock (7 0:00) P.M. on any weekday, or between the hours of nine <br />o'clock (9:00) A.M. and nine o'clock (9:00) P.M. on any weekend or legal holidays. <br />Lunda Construction, lne. is the general contractor for the Rice Street/ TH 36 Interchange Reconstruction <br />Project. This project includes the reconstruction of Rice Street from County Road B to a point several <br />hundred feet north of County Road B-2. It also includes the reconstruction of the Rice Street/ TH 36 <br />interchange. They are seeking the following variances for August 10 through November 30, 201.0. <br />Weekdays: Start work at S:OOAM <br />Saturdays: Start work at 7:OOAM <br />This construction project is expected to take 2 construction seasons. The Contractor is asking for the <br />variance so that they can work two back to back shifts on weekdays and a normal length work day on <br />Saturdays.
