No. 5425 RESOLUTION AUTIlOlUZING CONTINUED PAYHENTS TO ST. PAUL FOR USE OF MINNEAPOLlS-ST. PAUL SANITARY DISTRICT SE\\fERAGE WORKS WIlEREAS the Village has entered into an agreement dated June 8 19 70 , with St. Paul whereby St. Paul has agreed to make certain of its sewers and its capacity in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Sanitary District sewer- age works available for use by the Village, and the Village has agreed to pay for such use; and WIlEREAS St. Paul is required each year to pay a share of the costs of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Sanitary District for its sewerage works and their operation and maintenance in accordance with the budget adopted by the Sanitary District Board; and WIlEREAS on August 1, 1970 the District, and all of its property and contract rights, including the obligations of Minneapolis and St. Paul to make payments to the District in accordance with its 1970 budget, will be taken over, acquired and assumed by the Metropolitan Sewer Board pursuant to Minne- sota Laws 1969, Chapter 449, Section 5; and WIlEREAS Minneapolis and St. Paul \.;ill be required by the Metropolitan Sewer Board to continue to fund the Sanitary District 1970 budget and to pro- vide funds for payment of debt service in 1970 on bonds issued for Sanitary District sewerage works to be assumed by the Sewer Board; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, that the Village will continue to make use of the Minneapolis--St. Paul Sanitary District sewerage works between August 1, 1970 and December 31, 1970, and that the Village will continue to pay St. Paul therefor as provided in said agreement dated June 8 , 1970 , and any agree- ments amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.
