5.08 Mandatory Referendums (5.06 on subcommittee report) Motion by Brewer to adopt Section 5.06 on the 1 <br />subcommittee report as Section 5.08, changing the language to read: Any expenditure of funds in excess of <br />three million ($3,000,000) of local property tax dollars, adjusted annually for inflation by reference to the <br />Consumer Price Index (CPI) as of January 1st, which involves community facilities, shall be brought to the <br />community in the form of a referendum. This section shall not apply to projects financed by partial or full <br />assessments against real property or to redevelopment projects financed by tax increments. Motion was <br />approved; Sobola and Lorenz nay, all others aye. <br />V. Adjournment <br />Motion by Brewer to continue working on the next sections as we have been. Accepted friendly amendment <br />to continue meetings unti19:30 p.m. with a 10-minute break, motion «-as approved. <br />VI. Next Meeting Vote on Chapter 5 and Section 3.09.
