-- . <br />Roseville Charter Commission <br />Roseville City Hall Council Chambers <br />Minutes of Meeting of October 17, 2001 <br />Call to Order/Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Chair Vicky Lorenz. All <br />members were present. <br />II. Annroval of Minutes The minutes of the August 15, 2001 meeting were approved as printed. <br />III. Review of By-Laws Resolution by Sobola to amend Article III, Section 1 to read as follows in the <br />event the charter is adopted: Resolved: That Article III, Section 1 be amended by deleting "each <br />month" at the end of the first sentence and substituting "whenever needed, as determined by the chair <br />or as provided in Section 2." In the second sentence change "monthly" to "scheduled." Motion by <br />Johnson to table the resolution to the November meeting was approved unanimously. <br />IV. Review of Bud,~et No report. We have not received a bill from Duke Addicks for his most recent <br />services to the Commission. The present secretary will send him a reminder to submit it so that it can <br />be paid during this fiscal year. The printing of the proposed charter in the Roseville Review in the <br />October 23 and October 30, 2001 issues will be paid by the City. <br />V. Election of Officers The following officers were elected, each by a unanimous vote: <br />Chair Robert Bell <br />Vice Chair Ron Riach <br />Secretary Phillip Crump <br />The current secretary will prepare the minuets for this meeting. Jack Brewer and Pat Johnson <br />volunteered to continue as a publicity committee. <br />Commission members expressed their thanks for the service of the outgoing officers. Al Sands <br />expressed thanks to the League of Women Voters for conducting the forum on September 6, in which <br />Jack Brewer and Vicky Lorenz participated. <br />VI. Date of the Next Meeting/A eg nda The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, in the <br />Roseville Council Chambers. Vicky Lorenz will make the reservation. The agenda will include the <br />annual report, reconsideration of the by-law resolution, charter election results, budget, and change in <br />Ramsey County chief judge. <br />VII.
