Roseville News Fax <br />June 18, 2003 <br />Roseville Parks and Recreation for a ride on the Empire Builder to Chicago. Spend three days <br />and two nights in Chicago then board a motorcoach to Fort Atkinson. Enjoy dinner and the <br />musical production Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Then the next morning enjoy a drive <br />through the beautiful Wisconsin countryside with a stop to explore the House on the Rock in <br />Spring Green. Return to Roseville by late afternoon. <br />Space is limited so register today. Cost is $529/person for a double room and includes six <br />meals and tickets to plays, aquarium and House on the Rock. Ca11651-415-2108 to register. <br />Kids Treasure Sale <br />Hey kids, clean out your playroom, garage and closets. Sell your gently used stuff to <br />make a little money. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites kids to rent a table to sell <br />toys, games, books, music and sporting goods that you no longer use. Sale is Tuesday, <br />July 1, beginning at 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Central Park, Roseville. To reserve a table, <br />call Roseville Parks and Recreation at 651-415-2100. <br />The Kids Treasure Sale is part of the two week long Rosefest celebration. A complete list of <br />Rosefest activities and locations is available at all City buildings or log on to <br />www.cityofroseville.com. Daily updates are available on the Rosefest hotline at 651-415- <br />2154. <br />Mosquito Patrol <br />The Metropolitan Mosquito Control District will be fighting mosquitoes in Roseville and <br />surrounding communities beginning June 18. Mosquito fighting crews will treat stormwater <br />catch basins with Bacillus sphaericus and inethoprene pellets and briquettes in an attempt to <br />control mosquitoes. The treatments are safe for humans, pets and the environment. <br />Applications Sought for Roseville Charter Commission <br />Applications are currently being accepted from Roseville residents who are interested in <br />serving on the Roseville Charter Commission. All applications will be sent to Ramsey <br />County for processing. The Commission, created in 1999, will consider ahome-rule <br />charter for the City of Roseville. Chief Judge J. Thomas Mott is responsible for <br />appointing members to the Commission. <br />Deadline to apply is August 1, 2003. Call 651-266-2853 to receive an application or if <br />you have any questions. Applications are also available at Roseville City Hall, 2660 <br />Civic Center Drive, but must be rehirned to Ramsey County for consideration. <br />4 <br />
