The Board reviewed all comments received from city officials and citizens prior to
approving the 2007 City Policies.
Your comments regarding changes to Minnesota Charter Commission statutes were referred to the
League of Minnesota Cities policy committees for additional consideration in 2007. As you may
know, the LMC policy committees are comprised of city officials who discuss issues and make
recommendations to the Board on policy objectives each summer. The 2007 policy committees will
likely meet next in July.
My staff will be collecting information prior to the July meeting for the committee's consideration. I
hope that you consider participating in policy process in 2007 to address this issue, as well as other
matters impacting municipalities across the state.
Thank you for your time and input.
Sincerely,
S~
Gary Carlson
Director of Intergovernmental Relations
League of Minnesota Cities: Connecting and Innovating Since 191.3
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER
