Recognize and Accept Minnesota Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) <br />Sponsorship/Partnership Award of Excellence for the Central Park Muriel <br />Sahlin Arboretum Center <br />Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Jill Anfang introduced Ms. Tracy Peter- <br />sen, amember of the MRPA Board and Recreation Superintendent for the City of <br />Inver Grove Heights, in attendance to present the award, as well as to recognize <br />staff member Jill Anfang for this successful community collaborative. <br />Jill asked representatives of Central Park Foundation in attendance tonight to <br />stand and be recognized, at which time they were applauded for their continued <br />work. <br />Tracy Petersen briefly summarized the work of the MRPA and their work <br />throughout the State of MN and explained how projects were awarded over seven <br />(7) different categories; and presented the award. <br />Acting Mayor Johnson thanked Ms. Petersen for the work of the MRPA, and rec- <br />ognized the Central Park Foundation as well. <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, authorizing acceptance of the MRPA 2009 "Award of <br />Excellence" for Sponsorships and Partnerships and recognizing the valuable, on <br />going Roseville Central Park Foundation Partnership for the Muriel Sahlin Arbo- <br />retum Center. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Roe; and Johnson. <br />Nays: None. <br />b.
