SECTION: <br />1002.01: Rules <br />1002.02: Definitions <br />1002.01: RULES: <br />The language set forth in this title shall be interpreted in accordance with the following <br />rules of construction: <br />A. Whenever a word or term defined in section 1002.02 of this chapter appears in the <br />text, its meaning shall be construed as set forth in the definition in section 1002.02 of <br />this chapter. Other words or terms shall be construed as having their common <br />meaning. <br />B. All measured distances expressed in feet shall be to the nearest tenth of a foot. (Ord. <br />275, 5-12-1959) <br />1002..02: DEFINITIONS: <br />As used in this title, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to <br />them in this section: <br />ACCESSORY USE OR STRUCTURE: A subordinate building or use which is located <br />on the same lot on which the principal building or use is situated and which is reasonably <br />necessary and incidental to the conduct of the principal building or use. (Ord. 1286, 08- <br />04-2003) <br />ADVERTISING SIGN: See Chapter 1010 of this title. (Ord. 1359, 1-28-2008) <br />AIRPORT OR HELIPORT: Any premises which is used, or intended for use, for the <br />landing and takeoff of aircraft and any appurtenant areas which are used or intended for <br />use. for port buildings or other port structures or rights of way. <br />ALLEY: A public or private right of way primarily designed to serve as secondary access <br />to the side or rear of those properties whose principal frontage is on a street. <br />ANTENNA: Equipment used for transmitting or receiving telecommunication, television <br />or radio signals, which is located on the exterior of, or outside of, any building or <br />structure. For purposes of this section, antenna does not include "satellite dish antenna". <br />ANTENNA-SATELLITE DISH: A parabolic shaped television or radio signal receiver <br />(including all supporting apparatus) which is located on the ground or exterior of or <br />outside of any building or structure. Said antenna is considered an accessory use to the <br />principal building or structure. <br />ANTENNA STRUCTURE-COMMERCIAL: Any pole, spire or structure, or any <br />combination, to which an antenna is or could be attached, or which is designed for an <br />antenna to be attached, and all supporting lines, cables, wires, and braces erected for the <br />
